Our retreat home for 6 days and 5 nights: Sagrada Holistic Ranch.

Sagrada, which means “sacred”, is a true reflection of natural beauty and local artistry. This rural destination is majestically set on the foothills of a majestic mountain where an abundance of healing energy flows. The fertile desert land is also the home to a protected 400 year old ancient botanical garden - the true pride and joy of Sagrada.

Choose between single or double occupancy rooms, each uniquely designed with touches of nature to welcome the elements in. With endless nooks to discover this rustic retreat space will delight your senses with curiosity and wonder.

Whether you are relaxing in the wood-burning sauna, soaking in the golden-hour rays of sunset, or taking a stroll with the resident rescue donkeys - a truly divine and sacred experience awaits you at the holistic ranch.

San Miguel de Allende:

Nicknamed “The Most Magical Town in Mexico,” San Miguel de Allende is a historical gem. This is where Mexico’s journey to independence began! Recognized by Travel + Leisure magazine readers as the #1 city in the world in 2021 and 2024, this enchanting town will captivate you with its vibrant culture, rich history, and artistic flair. 

Named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2008, San Miguel de Allende offers a unique blend of historical charm and contemporary sophistication. Its magical allure and colourful cobblestone streets are sure to draw you in and keep you excitedly exploring for hours!

This might be Mexico’s best kept secret!

Practices:

Channel and refine your energy through daily movement and meditation. Inspired yoga practices will be themed around an intention for the day and will be guided by Aleysha.

Styles of yoga may include vinyasa flow, yin, restorative, yoga nidra, pranayama, and guided meditations. Practices may take inside the yoga temple, or outside in the garden. Essential oils, hands on assists, and mini massages all included!

Breathwork and healing energy work will be facilitated by Arinn.

Practices will be suitable for all levels. Sagrada has mats and an abundance of props on site available for your use, no need to travel with any extras.

Nourishment:

Fresh, local ingredients and bold flavours take center stage at Sagrada. Our in-house chefs specialize in authentic vegetarian Mexican cuisine for breakfast and lunch, while 2 Seucos Catering crafts multi-course, European-inspired pescatarian dinners served under the stars.

Mornings will begin with tropical smoothies and green juices made from locally grown produce like kale and spinach. Breakfast and lunch are served family-style, fostering connection, while dinner will be a three course seated experience. Floral and herbal teas will also be available throughout the day.

Every meal is designed to be both nourishing and deeply satisfying, because food is part of the journey.

Guided Hike:

Step right outside Sagrada’s backyard and onto the trail of a stunning mountain hike. Winding through diverse terrain, rocky paths, and open vistas, you’ll experience the rich natural beauty surrounding the ranch, and get a glimpse of some of the local wildlife in the area.

At the summit, take in breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside. Soak in a moment of stillness, accomplishment, and awe. This adventure promises the perfect blend of serenity and exhilaration.

Temazcal Ceremony:

A temazcal ceremony is a traditional Mexican sweat lodge ritual rooted in ancient Indigenous practices. The word "temazcal" comes from the Nahuatl language, meaning "house of heat." This ceremony will be led by a shaman or healer on site at Sagrada, and is designed to purify the body, mind, and spirit.

Enter a small, domed structure where hot stones are placed in the center. Water infused with medicinal herbs is poured over the stones, creating steam. The intense heat and steam help detoxify the body, promote relaxation, and facilitate spiritual cleansing. During the ceremony, chants, prayers, and meditations are often used to enhance the healing experience.

This ceremony is optional, and is in addition to your retreat package.

Winery Tour:

Cuna de Tierra is the region’s first winery and a true testament to Mexico’s growing wine culture. With award winning architecture featured in Architectural Digest and a deep respect for the land, this vineyard crafts wines reminiscent of Spain’s finest.

During our visit, we’ll enjoy a guided tasting tour, sampling four exquisite wines paired with locally sourced cheese and charcuterie. Stroll through the vineyards, soak in the stunning surroundings, and savour the flavors of this unique terroir.

For those who wish to extend the experience, an optional on-site lunch featuring regional gastronomy is available.

• Airfare to/from Mexico City International Airport (MEX)

  (We suggest flying into MEX rather than one of the smaller airports closer to the retreat ranch, as it is likely a more direct flight path if you are travelling from Canada. This will help keep time in transit and cost to a minimum. Plus you get to experience a night in CDMX - one of the culinary capitals of the world!)

• Ground transportation to/from the retreat house if you are not able to catch the complimentary shuttle at 11am on Nov 24

Other Important Notes:

* Check in is at 4pm on Nov 24.

* There will be ONE complimentary shuttle to bring you to the ranch leaving Mexico City at 10am on Nov 24.

* We suggest flying in the day before, spending the night in CDMX and catching one of the shuttles provided in your retreat package.

* There are many animals that call Sagrada Holistic Ranch home. Including four rescue donkeys, several sheep, and three dogs. The animals are friendly and their presence is meant to enhance your experience.

* This is not a dry retreat. Consumption of wine or alcohol is entirely optional, and you will be encouraged to make choices that align with your intentions for your time on retreat.

* Check out is at 11am on Nov 29.

* There will be ONE complimentary shuttle leaving the ranch at 12pm on Nov 29 to return you to Mexico City.

Cancellation Policy:

If you are unable to attend the retreat after making a payment, a refund (minus deposit) will only be given in the event that another person is able to take your place with a minimum of 30 days out from the retreat start date. Deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
